Bullroarer Took Day 2011

Come celebrate Bullroarer Took day with us! On March 15th we’ll begin accepting screenshots from all over Middle-earth honouring the mighty Bullroarer Took!

For those who don’t know their Shire history, Bandobras "Bullroarer" Took led the Hobbits at the Battle of Greenfields when Orcs from Mount Gram, led by their Chieftain, Golfimbul, invaded the Northfarthing. During the battle, Bandobras defeated Golfimbul with a mighty blow that knocked off his head. Golfimbul's head flew through the air for 100 yards and dropped down a rabbit hole. Thus, according to Shire legend, inventing the game of Golf!

You can gain your own measure of fame by participating in our Bullroarer Took Day Screenshot Contest. We’ll select a winner from each category, and post them to our Bullroarer Took Day Screenshot Gallery on community.lotro-europe.com. We’ll include names of all involved in the screenshot, the server it was taken on, and Kinship details if relevant. The 6 winners will also get 500 Points to spend in the LOTRO Europe Store and a mini goodie bag of LOTRO-themed goodies. 

Screenshot Categories
We have two categories that you can enter into; Individual and Group. For any of the solo categories we’ll also accept a group photo, but for the group shots you’ll have to pull together some friends – it’s a party after all! Enter as many times as you like in either category.

Solo or Group shots

• Best toast
• Wearin’ the green
• Best picture taken beneath Bullroarer Took’s statue

Group Shots

• Best party band - 3 or more people using the music system
• Best party – 5 or more players in any housing area, city, or tavern/inn
• Most dangerous party location – 5 or more people in the most dangerous party location you can find

The Bullroarer Took Day Screenshot contest runs from 15th - 19th March. Entries must be received by Codemasters by 11:59PM UK time (GMT), Saturday 19th March , 2011 .

Tips for Taking Screenshots
- The number pad or right mouse button can be used to adjust the camera angle
- CTRL-P/Print Screen takes your screenshot
- Screenshots are stored in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
- F12 will remove the UI, and N will remove floaty names

• All entries must be sent as email attachments in .jpg format. Filenames should include the entrant’s Codemasters LOTRO forum name for identification.  To enter the Bullroarer Took Day Screenshot Contest, send your entry to lotrocompetition@codemasters.com with the subject line LOTRO Bullroarer Took Screenshot Contest.
• If you are entering multiple categories or screenshots per category, each screenshot must be submitted as a separate email.
• All entries must include the player's name, e-mail address, primary player and/or forum name (if any), names of characters in the screenshot, and desired name(s) and Kinship to credit along with the player's server name.
• All entries must be original and created and/or owned exclusively by the player submitting the screenshot and should not be edited other than for re-sizing
• The contest is open to registered players with an active account in good standing. The contest begins on 15th March, 2011. Entries must be received by Codemasters by 11:59PM UK time (GMT) on Saturday 19th March, 2011. 
• Codemasters will announce the winners during the week of 28th March, 2011.
• All decisions will be made by Codemasters in its sole discretion and are final. Players who submit a winning entry may be required to execute an Assignment and Release. Failure to execute and return the Assignment and Release within the time frame specified may result in another entry being selected as winner.
• LOTRO Europe Store Points and mini goodie bags will be awarded to the person that sends the winning submission as judged by a Codemasters panel.
