Spring Festival Screenshot Competition

The Spring Festival has sprung, and we want to see your screenshots! Are you feeling up to stomping some shrews, or are you gathering with your Kin-mates to celebrate the warmer weather? Either way, we have some exciting categories in our Spring Festival Screenshot Contest for you to enter!

The contest will run from Monday, 4th April, 2011 until Monday, 11th April, 2011. Entries must be received by Codemasters by 11th April.  Four winners will be chosen from the eligible entries received. Those who submit the winning screenshots will receive 500 Points to spend in the LOTRO Europe Store and a mini goodie bag.

Screenshot Categories

We've broken the categories into two parts; individual and group. For any of the solo categories we'll also accept a group photo, bur for the group shots you'll have to pull together some friends -- it's a party after all! You may enter as many categories as you like, as many times as you like.

Solo or Group shots

Individual Shrew Stompin’ Action Shot -- Take your best action shot during the Stomp-A-Shrew event!

Snazzy Hat Competition -- Spring is the best time for hats, and we want to see your finest headpieces!

Group shots

Kinship Uniform Portraits -- Does your kin have a uniform or dress code? Get everyone together and snap a portrait for us!

Couples Celebrating Nature -- Throw off your coats and scarves and get outside! Enjoy the lush spring landscape of Middle-earth!

Screenshots must be original and unedited (cropping is allowed) and should have a resolution of at least 1024x768.

Here are some tips for taking screenshots:

• The number pad or right mouse button can be used to adjust the camera angle
• You can zoom in to a first-person view with the mouse-wheel
• CTRL-P/Print Screen takes your screenshot
• Screenshots are stored in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
• F12 will remove the UI, and N will remove floaty names

How to enter

To enter the LOTRO EU Spring Festival Screenshot Contest, send your entry to lotrocompetition@codemasters.com with the subject line "Spring Festival Screenshot Contest ".

All entries must include:
Tthe category for which it is being entered
Player's name
Date of birth
E-mail address
Primary player and/or forum name (if any)
Names of characters in the screenshot
Desired name(s) to credit (i.e., real name, player name or forum name).

You may enter as many submissions as you wish. One entry per email. LOTRO Europe Store Points will be awarded to the person that sends the winning submission as chosen by a panel of Codemasters judges.
