Yule Festival Fashion Contest

Greetings, festival fashionistas! Feeling the Yule spirit? Think your festive fashion sense (or lack of it) has what it takes to win the LOTRO EU Yule Festival Fashion Contest? Send us screenshots of your best or worst festive outfit in LOTRO, and you could win a custom forum title and 1000 Points to spend in the LOTRO Store! Entries will be accepted from the following categories:

  • Most Festive Individual
  • Unfashionably Festive Individual
  • Most Festive Couple
  • Unfashionably Festive Couple
  • Most Festive Kinship
  • Most beautiful Yuletide scene

The contest will run from December 15th, 2010 until January 11th, 2011. Entries must be received by Codemasters by no later than January 11th 23.59 UK time (GMT). The winners will be announced on the Codemasters LOTRO forums on January 19th (with a total of 12 winners overall). Eligible winners will receive a special forum title;"Fashion Hero" or "Fashion Victim" and 1000 Points to spend in the LOTRO Store.

Screenshots must be original and unedited (cropping is allowed) and should have a resolution of at least 1024x768. Here are some tips for taking screenshots:
You can zoom in to a first-person view with the mouse-wheel
The number pad or right mouse button can be used to adjust the camera angle
F11 or CTRL-P takes your screenshot
Screenshots are stored in My Documents/The Lord of the Rings Online
The F12 button will remove the UI

To enter the LOTRO EU Yule Festival Fashion Contest, send your entry to lotrocompetition@codemasters.com with the subject line "Festival Fashion Contest". All entries must include the category for which it is being entered, the player's name, date of birth, e-mail address, primary player and/or forum name (if any), names of characters in the screenshot, and desired name(s) to credit (i.e., real name, player name or forum name). You may enter as many submissions as you wish. One entry per email. Store Points will be awarded to the person that sends the winning submission.
